Both hydraulic and traction elevators have their own advantages and disadvantages. Though hydraulic lifts are not as quick as traction lifts, these take less space to be installed and are good for higher loads. Traction lifts on the other hand, are faster and better for tall buildings, but not good for very heavy loads.
